Privacy Policy | LayRize

At LayRize we care about your privacy and your trust.

We know your personal information is important to you, and it’s important to us too. This page explains what kind of information we collect when you use LayRize, why we collect it, and how we do our best to keep it safe.

Hopefully it helps you feel clear about what’s going on behind the scenes so you can make your own choices about what you share.

We’ve always tried to keep things fair, decent, and honest in everything we do, and that includes respecting your privacy while you’re here on our site.

About Our Cookies

Cookies aren’t as exciting as 3D printing filament, but they do help our site work.

A cookie is just a little text file that LayRize stores on your computer, and your browser hands it back to us when you come back.

They help us see how people use the site and what parts are most useful, so we can make things smoother next time you visit.

Google Analytics Cookies

LayRize uses Google Analytics to get a clearer picture of how people use the site.

Google Analytics sets cookies on your computer that collect general info like what device you’re on, how you found the site, or how long you stayed. This helps us see patterns and improve the site experience.

Google also stores some of this information on its own servers. If you’d like to know more, you can read their policy here.

If you’d rather not have Google Analytics tracking your visits, you can install their opt-out tool.

Refusing Cookies

You’re always in control.

You can set your browser to accept or refuse cookies automatically, or let it notify you when one’s being set.

Refusing cookies won’t break most of our site, but it may mean some of the more interactive features don’t work as well.

California Consumer Privacy Act Statement

LayRize hasn’t sold any personal information from visitors in the past 12 months.

(And just so you know: if that ever changed in the future, and if the business ever grew large enough that special rules applied, we’d clearly say so and give you simple ways to opt out.)

Personally Identifiable Information

Sometimes we may ask for personal details, so we can do things like:

  • Keep the site running properly
  • Improve customer service and answer questions quickly
  • Personalize your experience a little
  • Run promotions, contests, or surveys
  • Send you updates or newsletters (if you’ve chosen to sign up)

The kind of information we might collect includes things like your name, email address, or whatever you enter on a form.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we’ll ask for your first name and email. That’s it.

If you share our content on social media through buttons on the site, those platforms may collect some info too. Here are links to their privacy pages so you can see how they handle things:

LayRize may also use Facebook commenting. Just so you know, Facebook stores those comments and may show them on your timeline depending on your settings.

We also offer RSS so you can follow updates more easily. If you use services like Yahoo or Feedly for that, check out their privacy policies before signing up:
Yahoo | Feedly

You can always choose not to share personal info and browse anonymously, but some features might not work the same way.

We’ll never sell your personal info to anyone. If we make big changes to how we handle it, we’ll post a clear notice on the site.

We also log IP addresses mainly to help us block spam or fraud. We don’t use them for anything else.

Sometimes we link out to other websites that may be useful. Once you leave LayRize, we can’t control what those sites do with your info, so it’s a good idea to check their privacy policies too.

Non-personally Identifiable Information

We also collect some general info that doesn’t identify you personally, like what browser you’re using, your operating system, or your internet service provider. This helps us understand how people connect to the site.

Children’s Privacy Protection

LayRize is for adults and older teens. It’s not directed at kids under 16.

We don’t knowingly collect personal info from anyone under 16. If you’re under 16, you’ll need a parent or guardian’s consent to use the site.

Release of Information

If LayRize were ever sold, the information you’ve given us could transfer to the new owner so the service can continue. If that happened, we’d post a notice on the site and do our best to make sure any privacy choices you’ve made still stand.

Data Storage

All information collected by LayRize is stored securely on servers hosted by SiteSell Inc., located at 310 de Murano, Suite 204, Sainte-Julie, Quebec J3E 0C6, Canada.

How You Can Correct or Remove Information

We’re committed to giving you control over your own data. If you’d like to review or download the personal info you’ve shared, you can do that by clicking the GDPR review link on our site. You can also request edits or deletion of your info anytime through our GDPR request page.

Updates and Effective Date

From time to time, we may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we’ll post a notice on the site with a link to the updated version. It’s a good idea to check back once in a while to stay up to date.

Agreeing to Terms

Important

Last updated: August 31, 2025

By using LayRize, you’re agreeing to this privacy policy and the way we handle information as described above. If you’re not comfortable with these terms, the simplest option is not to use the site or to decline cookies when asked. We want you to feel in control, so it’s always your choice whether to share information with us or not.

Your use of LayRize and your explicit consent means you understand and accept everything laid out here.

It also means you acknowledge that we may update this policy from time to time, and that continuing to use the site after those updates shows your acceptance of the changes. We’ll always post clear notices if anything significant changes so you can make an informed decision about whether you’d like to continue.
